Para mí, la fotografía es un proceso de recopilación de imágenes del paisaje y de las personas que me rodean, y luego unirlas para formar narrativas o patrones que desconocía en ese momento.

De esta manera, la fotografía tiene una forma misteriosa de revelar lo que yace justo debajo de la superficie de mi vida.

En general, encuentro que cuanto más me alejo de cualquier idea preconcebida de lo que quiero fotografiar, mejor es para el trabajo. Para mí, el proceso es en gran medida inconsciente e intuitivo, y si cuestiono lo que estoy haciendo mientras lo hago, las cosas suelen salir mal.

Las ideas para proyectos a veces surgen de la lectura, ya sea poesía, ficción o no ficción, pero la mayoría de las veces me llegan después de haber creado las imágenes, ya que solo entonces veo las conexiones.

Mirar el trabajo de otros fotógrafos es muy importante para mí, y hay muchas fotografías que desearía haber tomado, pero nunca siento celos, solo una maravillosa sensación de inspiración y entusiasmo por lo que es posible hacer.

For me, photography is a process of gathering images from the landscape and the people around me and bringing them together later to form narratives or patterns that I was unaware of at the time.

In this way, photography has a mysterious way of revealing what's lying just beneath the surface of my life.

I generally find, I can get from any preconceived ideas of what I want to shoot the better it is for the work. For me, the process is very much unconscious and intuitive one; if I question what I'm doing while doing it, things tend to go wrong.

Ideas for projects sometimes come from reading, whether it's poetry, fiction or non-fiction, but most of the time, they come to me after I've created the pictures, as only then do I see the connections.

Looking at other photographers' work is very important to me, and there are many photographs I wish I had taken. Still, I never feel jealousy, just a wonderful sense of inspiration and excitement for what is possible.
